Bodil is a Licensed Massage Therapist and has also trained in Reiki, Myofascial Release and Pranic Healing. Her approach to massage is less clinical and more intuitive. Her intent is to “hold the space” for clients to facilitate their own healing. She will often say to her client, “You are the one doing the work. I am just a humble facilitator. You are the one letting go, connecting to your body and mind, letting in new awareness. I am just extending the invitation.”
Bodil is a native Dane. After moving to New York City in her twenties and living there for 10 years she happily landed in St. Louis. She graduated from the Healing Arts Center in 2007. We like to think everything happens for a reason, and having connected with the healing community in St. Louis and opened Demun Healing, she surely feels that way.

Healing Massage
Bodil offers a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for her clients. Her massage is best described as a healing massage: a soothing rhythm that blends Swedish, Reiki, and sometimes Myofascial Release. A sacred time devoted to healing is an opportunity to shift consciousness from doing to being.

Fascia Blasting
So…what is fascia?? Fascia is connective tissue in, through, and around all our parts of our bodies. Imagine a spider web made of plastic wrap, and you’ll start to get a picture of what fascia looks like. When the body is heated, this connective tissue becomes more liquefied, which allows it to be easily “combed” with the FasciaBlasting® tools.

I heat the body by using the BioMat, a far-infrared healing mat which emits negative ions and is known for its ability to increase circulation, relieve pain and joint stiffness, detoxify cells, and induce deep states of relaxation. When the tissue is sufficiently warm, we are ready to FasciaBlast® it. My clients report the experience is very relaxing, and some notice tingling sensations as the tissue opens and circulation begins flowing!
